Matching odd gloves in Chicago.

Mitten are welcome

A visitor raised a question whether the site accepts Mittens. The answer is yes.

Trade creates wealth

I talked to many people who lost a glove kept the remaining glove yet still would not submit a photo to this site. Their reasoning was “It was a long time ago”. My response is: What if someone bought the same pair and lost the glove of the opposite hand? Together you have a pair that is worth something. You can decide who will buy the glove from the other person or donate it as a pair.

Rejected submissions

The following are reasons why a submission would not be posted

  1. There is no photo or a photo of something other than a glove.
  2. The glove MUST be in Chicago.

They are all Nylon to me.

In this site Nylon is going to be used as a generic term to describe any glove made out of petroleum byproducts.  Lycra, Polyester,  Spandex they are all Nylon to me. The only exception is fleece.
Synthetic wool and synthetic leather are wool and leather.

Some thoughts so far.

So far I see that left hand gloves get lost more than right hand gloves. The sample is small and this could be a coincidence.  Once the sample is bigger, Id like to see if the distribution is equal or if it correlates with the distribution of left handedness (10%). If the left/right handed distribution of lost gloves correlates with the distribution of left handedness then there is a certain bad habit that makes gloves getting lost.
